Blyth Group

If I could give no stars then I would. My insurance company appointed Blyth and they are the worst company in the world to deal with. They can’t seem to muster the organisation skills that even a toddler could master! It’s taken 12 months for them to complete the repairs to my house and that’s with me doing most of the organisational work for them! They don’t respond to emails or calls and I had to put in a formal complaint with my insurance company just to get them to respond. When I pushed to have the same flooring installed that I’d only purchased 6 months previously they tried to make me cash settle because I wouldn’t go with their lower quality options from B&Q! They also caused further damage by getting paint all over the woodwork while doing the repairs and again this was another battle to get them to fix the mess that they made! They also have no consideration that you are a human being going through something traumatic and have genuinely tried to make everything as difficult and inconvenient as it could be. Avoid at all costs!

We would like to thank the Blyth Group for everything they've done to restore our front room after an underfloor leak. We'd had quite a few workmen arrive to put things right. They have all been, excellent and very professional. The quality of their work has been praised by the visitors we've had, and we are both so impressed with all the work undertaken. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Blyth Group, they've certainly sent us some very personable and skilled tradesmen. Sending our thanks again, we are so grateful to everyone at the Blyth Group.

Excellent company Robert Hill and Dan who installed my wife's disability bathroom were professional, friendly and the follow up service was the best I have ever experienced.

I have HAD to click one star to be able to post it does NOT deserve that! 8 months in to a small bathroom re fit and small ceiling replacement plus painting PLUS re doing said ceiling multi times - because of nothing but poor workmen ship, lack of accountability and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My ceiling is on a third refit - first leak which started the contract with this rogue company and then the pipes on the bath weren't actually connected when re-doing the bathroom then again because the over flow on the bath wasn't fitted corrected causing further leaks! I asked for my property to be inspected by a professional to ensure no further damage or leaks will occur after the pipes not being fitted correctly which they sent out someone who claimed they were the top man! Said it was all ok and then we had another leak because the overflow wasn't connected properly - great checking! not to mention the paint spray that is now all over my new flooring and bathroom suit. Oh and the grouting gaps is appalling. According to them they don't replace the pipes for new ones that's why it leaked - although when the pipes were actually connected properly and sealed not dangling away from each other it didn't leak water again. Asked for them to replace my ceiling light for £25 at their cost was asked why, apparently water pooring through it three times making it brown and buzzing with noise is not for replacement. Prepare yourself for the most outrageous excuses, they haven't got the ability to say sorry and you will be left waiting in limbo for them to fix the ongoing issues because they've had the money and move on to the next shoddy work. Please really consider re thinking If you don't want added stress into your life. I am still waiting for it to be sorted.… fancy getting in touch BLYTH GROUP? I have had enough of being patience with you now - better still refund me il paint myself and find my own contractors to complete the work which I wish I had done in the first instance now - O wait “it’s against the business policy to offer any sort of refund, compensation, empathy, accountability” Don't expect your complaint emails to be responded to still waiting... we would like to thank Jane for all of her help and the professional way she handled and oversaw the project management of this work. We would also like to thank both the plasterer and decorator for the high standard of work they carried out and left the area clean in our kitchen, their names I have forgotten. A big thank and recommendation to Adam and Archie for the replacement of the damaged bathroom. Both worked to very high standard of workmanship and cleanliness, they arrived promptly in the morning and put in a full day making sure the work and surrounding areas that may have been affected were left tidy and clean. Adam was always professional and with his experience and personality made us feel in safe hands knowing that the work would be done correctly unlike other tradesmen from other companies we have used in the past. Both Adam and Archie checked at the end of the job that the work was completely finished and that we were happy with the work and could not see anything that may have been missed reducing the risk of a revisit. We were also happy that when the work was forced to stop due to the asbestos issue that Archie and Adam returned to complete the work. It is all too easy to send in complaints about work carried out but, on this occasion, we feel it necessary to add a review and say a big thank you to all and All mentioned in this review are an asset to the Blyth Group and this should be recognised.

Terrible company just do not use! Never ever come across a company like this, fob you off constantly, what should take a few easy days through the insurance turns into months, I am actually suffering stress and anxiety due to it all. Excuses and delays after delays at every level, you couldn't make it up, totally incompetent, I agreed to use them through Direct Line for ease, thought they would be reputable, bad mistake should have gone with the original builder. They have left me considerably out of pocket with a shoddy job half finished and all their rubbish inside and outside, only when I threatened to sue they removed some of the rubbish, but not all, my wall still has a bubble where they just painted over the original leak, no priming or anything. Needless to say I am taking it further!

Direct line appointed blyth group after a water leak. They replaced my laminate leaving a damaged board in the middle of the room. Installed architrave and skirting incorrectly thinking that huge gaps can be filled with caulk without me noticing. Order the wrong materials. Painter can't paint at all he painted my pvc window frames and they do not do a full day's work in their life. After numerous complaints they pulled themselves of the job and I received an email from insurance telling me I have to do the rest with a tiny settlement which will not even cover the replacement of the incorrect work let alone the whole left work needed to be done. Avoid like the plague do not let any insurance company appoint these cowboys
