I highly recommend the team at TA Smith. They've completed several jobs on my house - replacing a cast iron soil pipe, thermal boarding in two rooms, fitting a loft hatch and refitting a bathroom. Each time the work has been completed to an extremely high standard and is expertly and smoothly coordinated by Paul. Our bathroom was a particularly challenging job because nothing was straight. Martin's care, attention to detail and thoughtful suggestions have produced a beautiful finish and we're absolutely delighted.

We had 4 buttresses installed to help support a garden wall and they did a fantastic job! The lads who did the work were really polite and tidy, they went above and beyond with the work and even got rid of our excess rubbish where they had extra room left in the skip. Will be using them for any future work we need!

In my experience, I am happy to recommend TA Smith (Builders) Ltd based in Birmingham who I used originally to completely refurb the downstairs WC before moving on to other jobs in the kitchen and bedroom. I will be booking them in to do a complete refurb of the bathroom. They are FMB registered. My main dealings were with Paul Duffy (his son, Adam also involved). Having been let down by tradespeople in the past, it was refreshing to deal with a builder who turned up when they said they would, was clear on pricing / keeping me informed when I added in extras, and stuck to timescales. He has years of experience and it shows. He listened to what I wanted, made great recommendations, and his team of lads on the job over-delivered, with little extra touches. They were sensitive and respectful in my mum's home, and a nice bunch of lads to deal with generally.

We’ve recently had 2 bathrooms renovated by TA Smith and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The first bathroom involved ripping out old bath, vanity and tiles and then changing the layout to add a walk-in shower and a toilet that was not previously there. The second bathroom was a much larger job, knocked through 2 rooms into one to create a bespoke bathroom that met all the needs of my daughter with a disability without looking at all clinical. This also involved making a custom tiled bench and a sliding pocket door. Martin completed most of the work with help from the rest of the team. Everyone was open to ideas and fixed any issues quickly, both during the build and afterwards. Would highly recommend.

Adam and Paul are really good to work with - they have done various jobs for me including a full clinic refurb, roof repair and ongoing maintenance. Basically the whole project is managed for you, standard of workmanship is very high, and the communication is exemplary. Thank you!

Paul and his team recently completed a large project for us which included a single-storey extension, new patio formation, bathroom, multiple bedrooms, flooring, loft boarding, and even a walk-in wardrobe. Every single part of the job was finished to an exceptional standard — the attention to detail and quality of workmanship was second to none. The price was very fair for the scope of work, and what really stood out was the communication and responsiveness throughout the whole process. Paul kept us updated at every stage, was always approachable with any questions, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Great tradesmen are hard to find, but these guys are without doubt the best of the best. Excellent communication from Paul throughout the process of removing a cupboard wall to make a small bedroom larger, very professional arrived at time arranged and work carried out to my satisfaction. Would highly recommend and will be using the team for any other projects in the future.
