I would absolutely recommend AKB for the quality of their work and their expertise. AKB carried out a loft conversion in our property; it had quite unusual features due to the nature of the house, but nothing was too much trouble for them! Andy was able to give us some excellent ideas to improve the space including a fantastic panoramic window, and the signature wall wardrobe which is admired by anyone who visits our house. Andy has a team of excellent workmen who are polite, professional and happy to help with any additional request you may have. We have been using our loft for a few months now, and I can report that the quality of the work is indeed excellent. Thanks Andy and AKB!
Not one to ordinarily leave reviews but hope this is useful for anyone considering using Andy and his team at AKB. Simply put, I’d use them again and recommend them to anyone. We built a good relationship with Andy and he delivered everything promised. We took our time to make sure we knew exactly what we wanted so that they’d be no changes from our side. The job was set to be completed in 8 to 10 weeks and it was completed in week 10. Everyone who worked on the project were friendly, polite and experienced. The quality of their work is fantastic. We’ve lived in the space for 4 or 5 months now, through an incredibly cold, wet, windy and snowy winter and have no issues to report. Again, would recommend highly.
We were delighted with the quality of the work by AKB on our bedroom loft conversion in Chapel Allerton, which took around six months from the skip first arriving on our drive to the final jobs being done. Andy and his team are great to deal with and work quickly and professionally to a very high standard, keeping disruption at our house to a minimum. The plans provided by Andy at the start of the process were really useful and his team was very knowledgeable, for example persuading us not to go with a Juliette balcony which turned out to be very good advice. We were really impressed by how quickly the bedroom and en suite were built and how the early stages of the job were completed. The final stages took a bit longer but at the end we were left with a new bedroom that we absolutely love. Thanks to all at AKB!
Thank you Lord to let us chose AKB to do the loft conversion for us. We really appreciated with the work AKB did for us and now we can have en-suite master bedroom with brilliant view through the window.
I have been very happy with the work that Andy and his team have done for me. He has a great group of tradesman who work for him and I have been delighted with the quality of their work. Where problems have cropped up Andy has been very quick to respond and has got his team to sort out the problem eg some of the debris from the works damaged the neighbours roof and he sorted out their tiles and plastering too. He was also diligent in checking any final problems and ensured that these ‘snaggings’ were taken care of (I know companies that would disappear rather than sort these out) The only issue was that sometimes there were gaps in activity as Andy clearly rotated his staff around other projects. I am used to this and have used that time to get on with decorating rather than wait to the end. Again I have to give credit to his workmen who allowed me to liaise with them to enable me to work around them at times to ensure that I got a better finish overall. I have recommended the team to my brother who is looking to have some work done too and I am confident they will do a good job for him as well.
