CB Builders & Son

We recently had our small garden transformed by CB Builders. Paving, natural turf, flower beds and pergola. We couldn’t be happier with the results. Charlie, Johnny and Allison were professional, hardworking, and clearly passionate about what they do. From the very first visit, they listened carefully to what we wanted and offered thoughtful suggestions that made the final design even better. Their attention to detail was outstanding — every element was finished to a high standard. They kept everything tidy, communicated brilliantly throughout, and delivered exactly what they promised. We're delighted with our new garden. It’s gone from a tired, unused space to somewhere we can't wait to spend time together. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for reliable, skilled builders who take real pride in their work.

One to avoid. And be wary of reviews. I should have trusted my judgement when receiving a number of quotes for a new path - and these guys were over half the price of everyone else. All started ok and they’re lovely lads, but the first issue was they massively overran (3 days). It was obvious they were then rushing to finish and in the time since finishing we can see really poor and inconsistent grouting which will cost a lot to sort. Worst of all is there is no run off so when it rains we get issues. The lowest step is bizarrely below the level of the road so we are now the proud owners of a swimming pool! We since learned this was their first job and the inexperience shows. Be wary of reviews. On completion it was non-stop hassling from the office person, multiple times a day. In the end I had to ask her to stop badgering me for a review. I’d be cautious about the validity of reviews for a company that approach them in this manner. Then we had an issue with the skip being collected. The workmen had taken the opportunity to dispose a lot of their rubbish (so many buckets!) and the skip guy refused to take. Pretty easy to solve by removing some of the rubbish, but we were bombarded with texts from the office which I can only describe as unhinged. Never seen anything like it or so unprofessional. Over a skip! We’re still dealing with other materials and rubbish that were left on site.

It's rare to find builders who combine such high-quality craftsmanship with excellent customer service, but CB Builders & Son do exactly that. I would highly recommend CB Builders & Son for any building or landscaping work and would not hesitate to use them again for future projects. Good honest and knowledgeable work, I have to agree with the other reviewers. They gave a fair quote and carried out repairs to my house wall that had some subsidence cracking. The mortar and replaced bricks were all matched well. I would use them again for any other house job.

I am very pleased with the result. They came on time. Very friendly and efficient with their work. They were tidy and cleaned up after themselves. The result of the job was great. Very pleased and intend to use them for future jobs.
