GC Construction (UK) Ltd

G C Construction (UK) Ltd is a builder and property developer based in Manchester. The company was originally set up by Ken Dalton in 2005 as Kitwe Developments Ltd and changed its name to G C Construction (UK) Ltd in 2018. It is led by Ken Dalton, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, who was Group Managing Director of David McLean Contractors from 1988 to 2005. The team remains a small group of professionals, including Quantity Surveyors Oliver Dalton and Katie Schofield, and Marketing Director Ashling Whelan.

G C Construction specialises in historic building restoration, conservation and refurbishment of listed and historic buildings. It offers a full spectrum of construction and quantity surveying services from conception to completion, including demolition and dismantling with pre-construction advice, design and build with planning, design and value engineering, and estimating services to construction companies, subcontractors or quantity surveyors. The company works with a team of Architects and Structural Engineers.

In Manchester, GC Construction (UK) Ltd is a building firm working as a general contractor, and its single customer account describes excellent build quality, with the project completed on time. That feedback points to careful workmanship alongside dependable organisation, the finished result meeting expectations and the agreed timescale being honoured.

The comment does not name individual staff members, trades or stages, so the praise attaches to the company as a whole and to how the build was delivered. For a general construction service, this suggests a straightforward project carried out to a satisfactory standard, with the client pleased by both the construction quality and the reliability of the programme.
