I would not hesitate to recommend Huxton’s builders, they are very reliable and their workmanship is excellent and to a very high standard. The team I had on site were friendly and hard working, Dave came up with some excellent ideas for the inside when I was stuck at what to have on the walls, ceiling and floor
We've recently just completed a large domestic extension with Huxton and we don't have a bad word to say about them. From quotation, to completion they have been professional, timely, clean and incredibly patient with my noisy dog and curious 2 year old! Our daughter was particularly fond of Dave. The communication was great and every bit of cost was broken down and explained and they were always happy to work with me for the hits of work I undertook myself. The quality of work has been fantastic and all the minor snagging works were done quickly. There was always a great atmosphere while they worked, and you can usually tell a good working environment when they treat the apprentice with respect, as well as eachother. Phill and Terry run a great company. We now have a wonderful forever home and will be getting them back for any future works we decide to undertake. Huxton Building services claim to be "Reliable, Friendly and Affordable". I couldn't agree more.
We have used Hutton’s for several jobs over the last 8 years. From big 2 week jobs to small 1 day jobs they are always reliable and punctual, quality of work is excellent and any snagging is completed quickly without question. Best of all they are clean and tidy; at the end of each day the area is cleared and cleaned as best as the job allows, at the completion of work everything is fully washed down and cleaned with no mess or rubble left behind. We have always been very pleased with the outcome.
Got in touch with Phil later on Thursday evening before the Easter weekend, about an external leak causing an issue. He managed to squeeze me in on the Tuesday morning after Easter, identified the issue, sorted it there and then. Came when he said he would, great communication, did more than just rectify the issue as he made sure it wouldn't happen again. My only criticism is that I had to chase him for a bill so I could pay him 😅
Terry came to put a ventilation brick into a chimney for me. He turned up on time and achieved a neat finish, and also cleaned up any mess thoroughly. He struck me as a very pleasant fella who is very skilled. I would happily use him in the future and would also recommend him to others.
Very pleased with the work done, high quality and finished quickly with everything cleaned up afterwards. Phill even offered helpful advice on unrelated issues in the property which was much appreciated, will definitely return to Huxton first for any further jobs.
