Fantastic experience with Jenkinsons - can’t recommend them enough. They did some structural work in our attic (strengthening joists and installing new flooring), put in insulation, and sorted out a few other issues e.g. water ingress into our chimney. Really happy with the work, and it was the best possible experience. They were so thorough, reliable and communicative, explained every step of the work in detail, involved us in every decision, and were really flexible in accommodating adjustments / additions from us along the way. (Also great at cleaning up every day which is no mean feat when dealing with the amount of dust we had up there!!) Ian was so brilliant at managing the whole project and just lovely to work with - we felt reassured and confident all the way. I am writing in appreciation of the work you did on renovating a former garage being used as a utility room which had been damaged by water ingress. The work involved removing a flat roof, guttering, windows, door, bench, sink and cupboard, lighting and switching, flooring and their replacement. In addition, plaster repair, painting and decoration, proofing and screeding floor, installation of modern worktops and plumbing. . We want to thank you for your informative and knowledgeable help in planning and carrying out the work. We are very grateful for the professionalism and those who came to work at our house, in particular Ian. . Ian undertook most of tasks to make a perfect job. . Ian took the role of managing the job very effectively: He listened to our requirements and advised us on the best, most effective choices. Access was through the house, so tidiness and cleaning up at the end of each day was impeccably done. Ian organised the other professionals and the timing and the ordering and delivery of the materials they needed. Ian constantly informed of progress and estimated order of work, including when and where we should make choices for fitting out. He was very patient with the family and took time in explaining what was happening with a disabled family member. We had no second thoughts in allowing Ian access to the house whilst we were away and his supervision of the other professionals. Special thanks to Luke. . Several other professionals worked on the task and without exception were thorough, careful, tidy and polite. The prospect of building works in your home can be daunting. Richard’s team made my experience a really positive one. Everyone was respectful, empathetic and more than willing to communicate. The quality of all aspects of their work was consistently excellent, and their patience and flexibility was welcome. Full detailed costings and regular descriptions at all stages of the project were provided. Finally, the site was kept tidy, the neighbours were shown respect, and no dogs were lost!

The work undertaken by Jenkinson Construction has been first rate. From Richard coming round to estimate the job to Ian and his team getting on with it - I cannot find fault. They worked tirelessly, cut no corners, explained every step they were taking and involved me in every decision. Minor adjustments were gladly absorbed. They were on the job virtually every day. This was the first sauna and shower room they had built and installed, but they went about it with consummate skill and expertise. The result is better than I had ever imagined. All to budget and above board. I can recommend 100%.

Jenkinsons handled a challenging structural project for us and adapted brilliantly to changing circumstances. The workmanship was high quality, and they clearly cared about getting the details right.

Jenkinsons completed an attic extension project for us in 2025. From tender to completion the level of detail and communication was always good from Richard, Nathan and Martin. Minor changes and additions (at our request) were managed professionally and with no surprises. Nothing was a problem and all works were completed to a high standard.
