Sky Blue Lofts

We had Sky Blue Loft create a dormer extension with a large bedroom with ensuite. Rees, Richie, Ryan and all the lads did an amazing jobs and took the vision one step further. Where we thought we would have the stairs come out of a bedroom, they created a brand new room with a landing and staircase! The guys were always on time, tidy and happy to explain things if we had questions. I cant fault them! We had an issue with a faulty part in the bathroom which caused a leak but they were there in the evening and didn't leave until it was resolved and the area clean and dry... what more can you ask for! This was the second time that I've used Sky Blue lofts and I would (and have) recommend them. Having recently moved house, we needed a team to fully re-work an existing dormer loft conversion. Rees, Richie and the team were able to take my plans and deliver exactly what I had asked for. All rooms were extended, all insulation brought up to modern standards, electric Velux windows installed and a bathroom introduced on the floor for the first time. They're a really lovely bunch of lads to work with - all of the team. They're super friendly, punctual and clearly enjoy working with each other. I had very clear views and plans of what I wanted and was on-hand throughout the job to ensure that the loft we ended up with was exactly what we wanted. I really appreciated just how open the team was to my perspectives. I've worked with a lot of trades over the years and every one of them had strengths and some niggles, that's just human nature - these guys were a pleasure to work with again and I would have no issue in recommending to family and friends to use Sky Blue Lofts.

Finished project looks good, but so many mistakes and delays. Very happy with my finished dormer, it looks good, like really really good (except bathroom) but there were so many issues and mistakes. Project took much longer that stated. Said it would take 7 weeks start to finish, took 7 months. Lots of damage caused to my home including three leaks caused by them, causing damage and water stains in multiple rooms. Damaged other areas including smashing my bathroom toilet, flooring in daughters room damaged from water. Left a water pipe connected to loft open when doing the plumbing to loft and flooded master bedroom. I work from home and in the middle of the day they cut the internet cables from the main pole to my home when doing the roof. Had to get an engineer to re cable my property. Ruined all carpet through my house as didn’t lay down any protection when cutting through in to the loft. Replaced stair banisters, advised me of different options and sent photos of different styles they had done previously, I chose glass and it is not done properly, it is far from a professional job and does not look good honestly. Also, tiling in bathroom is not great, all wonky and not level against the wall. Assured me before I ordered my tiles that they could fit them with no issues. Bath not fitted properly. Communication not great.

The Sky Blue Lofts team did a great job on my loft We had a hip to gable rear dormer conversion with a new bedroom and en-suite. The team were all very polite pleasant and professional to have around😄. They cleared up properly every day to keep the site as clean as possible, they kept my highly maintained garden in tact and was as if they had never stored any material here❤️. The whole build went smoothly with any questions and queries answered and sorted sharply! Their workmanship and professionalism was top notch. I wasn't looking forward to the work taking place as I work from home constantly but it was a far less stressful than I had imagined. Someone was onsite every day and I was kept informed of next stages. Rees was quick to respond to any messages. Along with the team meeting all my expectations I couldn’t recommend them enough and we are pleased with the end result.❤️ Carry on the good work team. Anthony.

Having reviewed, met and received quotations from several of the loft conversion companies in the Cardiff area, we were delighted to offer Sky Blue Lofts the job due to their professional, punctual and friendly approach. Now that the work is all finished; we couldn’t be happier with the results. Our build required the seamless integration of some significant architectural elements with multiple dormers to the front and rear, all of which, the Sky Blue team handled with ease. Including regular consultation throughout the process and also a flexibility to alter the internal layout on a number of occasions from the original drawings, to make sure we were getting the bathroom, dressing room and master bedroom configured exactly as we wanted. Rees, Richie, Ryan and Nathan were always polite and pleasant to have around. Clearing up at the end of every day and happy to answer questions regarding details of the construction approach and to also give advice when we needed it. The whole build went very smoothly, and even when we hit some snags with a faulty shower unit supplied by a 3rd party; the Sky Blue Lofts team stepped up and ensured everything got resolved to our satisfaction. From the start to the end of the main build, someone was onsite every day and we were kept well informed of the next stages and when to expect each of the trades. Rees was always quick to respond to any messages and clearly takes pride in delivering a very high level of customer service which in my view went above and beyond the normal expectations. I can happily recommend Rees and the Sky Blue Lofts team and would certainly select them again for any future loft development project.
