Insurance restoration work after flood and storm damage makes up much of the caseload for D N H Construction Limited, builders in Plymouth, who hold a 4-star average across 64 Google reviews. Individual tradespeople, including carpenter John, plasterer Andy and plumber Ashley, draw specific praise for professional, well-explained repairs, and one storm-damaged roof was eventually restored to the customer's satisfaction. However, several reviewers describe recurring organisational problems on larger jobs, including missed trade visits, unrealistic timelines and poor communication between office and site, with more than one reporting insurers bringing in another contractor to finish delayed work.

4.0 / 5 · 64 totalDNH, eventually, did a great job on repairing my roof. Damaged by the January storm. The scaffolding team were polite and very professional. The team that did the repair, were also polite and professional, explaining to me what the repair would take, with pictures before and after the repair. All good ! The only criticism I had was the time it took (nearly 5 months with constant phone calls), I'm guessing this was because of the amount of work created by the storm ? In the end, very satisfied with the outcome 👌
Such a friendly ,helpful and professional team, thanks for all your brilliant work over the last few months
Following our flooding disaster as a result of faulty plumbing in a new build house DNH were appointed by our insurer to undertake extensive restoration and remedial works. Thanks to a great team effort from John the carpenter, Andy the plasterer, Ashley the plumber with the icing on the cake being Andy the decorator we have our home back! The frontline guys had excellent support from back office who even helped us with our insurance negotiations. DNH gave us personal attention and are very highly recommended.
DNH - Skyline Roofing - called this morning to repair our roof damaged in Storm Goretti. We'd like to place on record our appreciation of the work carried out by the team - they were very courteous, considerate and attentive to our needs and completed the work promptly, effectively, and efficiently. Overall, a most satisfactory resolution of our problem! Well Done!
DNH Construction was sent to our old cottage for insurance works following flood damage. What should have been a restoration turned into a months-long nightmare due to a total lack of management and zero attention to detail. The quality of work was amateur at best: they miscounted the number of kitchen unit doors needed and actually fitted new drawer handles that were visibly unlevel. We spent more time chasing them and reminding them of basic tasks than they spent actually working. Most shockingly, after being sent to fix flood damage, they actually re-blocked the very drain that caused the initial flood by pouring tile adhesive down it. They also used our home as a dumping ground, leaving a massive pile of waste including rubbish brought in from other sites on our property for months, further blocking access to our garden drainage. Every timeline was unrealistic, and we eventually had to involve Aviva just to get the project moving. Save yourself the stress and the potential damage to your home look elsewhere.
DNH Construction have been absolutely fabulous with the handling of my mum's insurance work when she was flooded. The admin team have been so professional in their calls and emails and Jason who carried out all the work was also so professional, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all.
