SPACE LOFT CONVERSIONS LIMITED

So a little over a month ago now, Space Loft finished our dormer loft conversion. Initially, we approached a couple of recommended tradesmen to ask if the work could be done. We were advised that due to the height of our loft, they couldn’t guarantee that it would pass building regulations but that a loft specialist maybe able to help. Down in the dumps and thinking may have to move house, we thought it was worth a shot with a quick google search and we came across Space Loft. I looked at the reviews on here and thought we would get them round to have a Quick Look for us. This was the BEST thing we ever did!!! Mark came within a couple of days. Punctual, professional, very friendly - and he told us it was actually possible! We took a few months to get our finances in order and then booked Space Loft in. I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive at first as I generally like to use tradesmen who have been personally recommended to me. But when Mark sent the documentation through with details of exactly what work would be carried out, costs and a payment schedule etc, I was confident that we had chosen the right guys for the job (I’m a stickler for terms and transparency 🤣). Mark was very approachable and always at the end of the phone if we had any additional queries! Work commenced on schedule with Shane, Brad and Josh on the job. Everyday they explained what they were doing that day and gave me a run down and update at the end of the day. They were hampered by the rain on a few days at the start (it was January!!) but they turned up every morning to assess the situation despite the poor forecast and despite me saying they could just give me a call and not having to come over - a sign of true professionalism and service! In terms of the job itself, we honestly couldn’t be happier with the outcome! I never imagined it could be that big. The idea was that it would be a new bedroom for my little girl (who was stuck in a box room) with the hope of it being completed on schedule as it would tie in nicely with her birthday 🎂 well, it was completed in time and bang on schedule. The only issue was that I had already promised my daughter the bedroom and, when I saw it, I wanted it for myself!! 🤣 anybody reading can probably find a picture/video of the room on Space Loft Facebook (it’s the one with the pink carpet!!). It just surpassed all expectations and my daughter is one happy and extremely lucky little girl! It’s fair to say that, for quality of work, professionalism, and timescale - it was 100% But, what I appreciated the most out of the job was the people who did it. Shane, Brad, and Josh - you are just lovely, lovely people!!! It felt like you were part of our family for a while and we are genuinely sad that you’re not here anymore 😢 it was so nice to get to know you all and thank you so much for being so great with the kids! Little things like that make a big difference. Brad, you know my Molly had a soft spot for you - she was so excited to see you every morning and when she got home from school. She still asks about you daily and she will remember you forever when she thinks about her room. You have a special place in her heart ❤️ Thanks so much to all of you for being so considerate and courteous with the neighbours. Christine next door is still singing your praises and saying how lovely you all were. All of you were so respectful of our home. Keeping everything super tidy ever day - even tidying up our own mess sometimes 🤣 I know there will be things I’ve forgot to say in this ⬆️ but everything from start to finish was just brilliant - more than brilliant - I have nothing negative to say. I genuinely wish you all the best for the future - Shane, best wishes to your family and your new arrival. Josh, you’ve won the jackpot learning alongside these guys - you’ll be ruling the roost in no time!! Mark and his team completed some work for us in January 2026. I could not recommend them more highly. We bought a house with a converted loft and the stairs were dangerous and not useable. We did not think it was going to be possible to fit a full sized staircase in but Mark came to measure up and was able to design a full staircase to include spindles and handrail and balustrade. This has transformed the space and added significant value to the house. The team were great. They were punctual and very tidy. Electrics were moved and all was plastered to a high standard. We had our loft conversion done by Space Loft Conversions in spring 2025. After several other local companies refused to even visit the property to give us a quote, I contacted Space Loft Conversions on a recommendation from a friend. The owner, Mark, was professional and helpful from the very first phone call, and visited us the following day, gave us a quote and we duly engaged his services. Mark and his team are genuinely a dream team. Shane, Brat, and Josh worked together seamlessly, maintaining high standards from the demolition of the old loft to the carpentry and construction. We continued living in the property during the construction, and it was far less chaotic than I had expected. They cleaned and tidied everything every day. Can't fault Mark and his team. Absolute perfectionists, friendly and professional. They do what they say and say what they're going to do, on time. If only all trades were like this.
