Our Edwardian house likes to throw up challenges and surprises, but Nigel and his team dealt with everything calmly and professionally as they changed our cupboard-under-the-stairs into a downstairs cloakroom. We were informed of what they were doing along the way, and the team worked hard every day until completion. The weather co-operated, enabling a new patio area to be laid once the drainage works had been completed. Such a high standard for everything. Thanks so much guys. (The Building Regulations Officer was very impressed too)

Very pleased with the refurbishment of our Kitchen and Utility room. Not only were the units fitted but skylights installed, ceiling replaced, walls skimmed and new flooring, doors and radiators installed. Carl, Joey and the team did an excellent job, very professional work.

Carls team were contracted by us to prepare our kitchen and dining room for a new kitchen, doors and windows which would be provided and installed by other companies. This included, but was not limited to: removing the existing kitchen, blocking up the existing back door, removing the windows and cutting in the new back door frame in the dining room, removing the gas fire and boxing in the chimney breast, providing all electrical work and plumbing for the new kitchen configuration, plaster work, painting, reinstalling architraves and skirting, and installing the tiled floor in the kitchen. We were very impressed with the quality of work undertaken by the team. They were efficient and helpful, including making suggestions that would make our home more aesthetically pleasing. They were very accommodating to our time line and were happy to fit us in where needed when our other contractors fell behind. Crucially, as I was often alone in the house when the workers were here, I felt comfortable and safe in their presence. Everyone was very kind and professional and at no point did I feel intimidated which can sometimes be the case when left in my home with trades. I would recommend the company and will be using them again for any future renovations.

Carl arranged many services for me in 2025 from roofing maintenance to plastering bedrooms. The communication is always excellent and the professional nature of the specialists provided matches the same standard. Highly recommend.

Nigel, Carl and their team did a fantastic job creating a new garden room, patio, shed and pergola - totally transformed our garden. Their advice and workmanship was top notch. Will definitely be using them again for our next project

Excellent professional work ensuring my new light fitting was installed very quickly by Carl. November 2025 Burgess and Fitch have completed the building of a shower room in 7 weeks with an excellent finish and professional approach to each aspect of the build.

We had a single storey extension built in 2025. Initially we met Carl, who went through the quote and plans. Communication was excellent and there was never a problem getting hold of him to ask questions etc. Nigel was amazing, every step of the way he reassured us with his experience and quality of work. Always turning up on time he was a joy to have around.
