I have just had my dusty garage transformed into an amazing bedroom with ensuite and kitchenette by Candid Construction. Michael, who has such an eye for detail and his fabulous team, have exceeded my expectations. The whole process was slick, professional and of a very high standard. I would recommend them to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We have used Candid Construction over the last year for home improvements to our home. They have installed a beautiful Kitchen, internal doors, wood flooring plus many other things. The service was first class and workmanship outstanding. We would like to thank Michael and his team for their care and first class service throughout.

All the candid construction workers were brilliant. Their work was professional, clean and excellent. They were friendly, punctual and were able to put right any problems they came up against, and there were a few! Many thanks to Mick and his team, I would definitely recommend them.

Mick and Candid Construction completed a job at a family member’s house and having seen their work, we used Mick and his team for our project. We were so happy with his work, we in fact used Candid again only a few weeks later (see our other review). Mick was involved from the very start of our project which consisted of removing a load bearing wall to create a kitchen / diner. As well as the installation of bifold doors in place of a window and the designing and fitting of a kitchen. Mick organised everything from the structural engineer attending, planning and steel beam placement, all the way through to the final decorating. Falstaff kitchens were also very accommodating and between Rob and Mick, they came up with (dare I admit it) a slightly better solution to our initial design. Our project took a number of weeks and every day, if I wasn’t at home Mick would call to keep me updated with progress. They also cleaned up each day after themselves properly unlike many others. Even mopping the hallway most days! Kevin and Jason were excellent too and very professional. Our 4 year old genuinely looked forward to them coming so he could “assess their work”. Candid managed the whole project and the other trades Mick used were just as professional. Mick understood our vision and attention to detail. We liked that Mick was realistic from the start and was honest with pricing and timescales. The pictures will show their quality of work which we are super happy with. Would happily recommend Mick and the team to anyone. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is our second review of Candid Construction. We were so happy with our Kitchen / Diner project we asked Mick and the team to come and spend more time in our house. This time we were expecting our second child, and they made extra efforts to get the job done in time before her arrival, which was most appreciated. Mick helped us design and then constructed our bathroom and en-suite. This consisted of a full removal back to the plasterboard/brickwork, including new ceilings and lighting. He understood our design and requests which were never too difficult, this included adding mains water to the bathrooms. Mick was cleverly able to maximise the space in our en-suite and allow for the installation of a bigger shower. He removed and rebuilt the dividing wall to allow for the toilet pipework to flow behind the shower (many other builders would have put this in the to hard to do pile). He also added a new shelf in to bridge the gap to the wall. This was not an off the shelf product, and standard fitters would have just left this open. There were a fair few obstacles to overcome which could not have been foreseen. Whilst Mick kept me updated with these, he never made it my issue to sort or worry about and professionally fixed it. We have had our addition to the family now hence the delay in the review but as a result I can say we have had the projects finished for a number of months now and have not had one issue. Again, would happily recommend Mick and his team to anyone.

We couldn't be more pleased with the service and work that Candid construction undertook in my mum's garden. After being let down by someone we had a glowing recommendation to contact Mick at Candid. From that first call, to quotes, work taking place and the follow ups at the end of the project we have been thrilled with the professionalism, communication and standard of work. Mum's garden needed making safer, more accessible, new beds, a new lawn and unsafe walls removing. The work was carried out over possibly the hottest point of the summer, but work carried on. The finished result is to a high standard and we are reassured that the garden is now safe for mum to love and work in again. Mum was worried about strangers working at her property but was immediately put at ease by everyone who worked at the house. I think she now sees everyone who worked on the garden as her new friends. We would highly recommend Candid construction - thank you all for such a great job from start to finish.
