We started a project with Ricky to convert three rooms into a single “live in” kitchen area at the beginning of November 2023…...with a planned completion date of December 22nd. We almost made that date and would have without some delivery issues from our kitchen supplier. Ricky managed the project superbly from day one and kept all work to schedule……despite numerous challenges. We were 90% there for Christmas and finally finished by the end of February 2024. We did not know Ricky before starting to look around for someone to manage the project and do all the building work. We had met with the usual kitchen supply options – including Howdens, Wren, Love Kitchens etc. We eventually settled on a local supplier – SheeWater Homes (not, as it turned out, our best decision in the process) utilising their Gaddesby range. The kitchen companies had their own preferred building contacts and we met with a few of them. The quotes we received were similar, but we liked Ricky and decided to take a chance. Ricky and all his contractors (including the kitchen installer, electrician, plumber, floor fitter, carpenter, the door installers, and the cornice guys) did a great job. Ricky kept us fully informed throughout and the workload was managed in line with the original day by day calendar we were given at the start. Subsequent to this review we had issues with our kitchen. Bubbling in the walls and significant dampness in the new walls. We had to incur costs of having damp specialists review and additional costs to open the walls up - it was made clear to us that there was no ventilation and that was causing issues. Ventilation bricks were installed to assist. We had hoped that Ricky would respond to requests and would assist with replacing skirting boards. Having waited many months we have had no response to our texts and calls. We are very disappointed in the lack of response.

Would have no hesitation in highly recommending Ricky. From our first meeting with him, we had confidence we were going to get what we were asking for. He was straight and honest from the off and all the way through our garage extension. His quote and build itinery were clear and easy to understand, even though our plans were really tight to get 4 rooms out of our tandem garage. Ricky had very high standards and a trustworthy network of other trades he had equally high standards of. As with most build projects, there were challenges (you can’t help the weather when the roof needs to go on)! that made it hard to keep on track, but Ricky worked tirelessly to bring in what he needed to get back on track. We were well happy with the end result and Ricky has sorted the very few snagging issues we’ve had since completion 6 months ago.

Ricky and Ben of Crown Home Developments have just finished a garage conversion for us, creating an amazing office space from part of our garage. The professionalism and service has been absolutely spot on. Ricky is very conscientious and worked so hard to make sure we were happy at every stage. He did everything he said he would and more, for the price he quoted. He was always on time, stuck to the schedule of works that he gave us, and he’s genuinely a lovely guy to work with. I just spoke to the gentleman on the phone , whom is highly knowledgeable, gave me lots of free advice regarding a quote, not trying to sell anythjng and all I can wish is further success in his business. I did offer something as a kind gesture but he refused, certainly someone I will consider using if things get approved.

Crown Developments converted our garage into a lounge/playroom. The whole process took 2 weeks, as promised. Ricky and his team did a fantastic job. Ricky went out of his way to make the process as smooth as possible, giving us everything we asked for, and more. The quality of work was excellent and we were extremely delighted with the final result. What made Crown Developments really stand out was their personal service and professionalism. We cannot recommend or praise Ricky, Sarah and his team more highly for the work carried out in transforming our home with a large Kitchen/Diner/utility room. From the first telephone call, and the design/tender Zoom meetings, the process was made easy by clear and concise communication. Never once, during the planning stage were we promised something that subsequently could not be delivered or told that we could not have something that we requested.By the time we placed the order, it was extremely clear as to what we would be getting for our money, when we would have to pay and when the project would be delivered. Ricky’s great skill is in project management and problem solving, and he always kept a very tight reign on his team in order to deliver the agreed main bulk of the project within 8-weeks. We were quite frankly astonished by the delivery of the extension, and the quality. He also communicated with us daily and was very honest about any daily engineering difficulties that arose and how they were dealt with. The advice, input, fairness and respect that Ricky and his team showed, to help us achieve the finished article and also stick within budget, was exemplary and made what could have been a very difficult experience, very enjoyable and free from worry. Our finished project exceeded expectations and is a beautiful, practical living space. We do not feel that we compromised due to our budget at all, as Ricky always managed to find a suitable solution to any concerns. Crown are a very safe pair of hands and deliver high quality products.
