Very pleased with the service from Darren and the team at Forty Builders. We had a full renovation of our bathroom with some remodelling thrown in. Any unforseen issues that arose as we progressed were addressed well, communication was excellent throughout and the team were polite and considerate. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and to recommend them.

Darren and his team did a complete refurb of our 50s semi in 2019. They did a faultless job, turning a nice (but tired) house into a fantastic, stylish home. They were recommended by our surveyor and we couldn't have hoped for better. It was done on time and on budget. Most importantly, the standard of detail and finish was absolutely brilliant. So, we got them back in 2023 and they did another brilliant job building us a loft conversion. They talked everything through with us and squeezed every inch of space out of the build. As well as a large double-bedroom with window seat, we manged to fit in an en-suite with a bath and a separate shower, and a small walk-in wardrobe. Everyone onsite was considerate and courteous and the standard of finish was excellent (again!) They even managed to match the original banister and newel posts – it looks like the extra flight of stairs had always been there. Many thanks to Darren and his team!

We have over the last year had our home completely refurbished and extended by Forty Builders. Something so daunting quickly turned into excitement as soon as we met with Darren Forty. Over the last year we have been so impressed with him and his highly skilled team. The finish and design of our new home has totally exceeded our expectations. Darren is a total professional and a genuine person who takes great pride in his work. All the team are fabulous and treated us and our home with respect and nothing we ever asked of them was too much trouble. Once the project started the team were on site every day…whatever the weather. Such a huge project for us was made so much easier by Darren’s regular contact; updates and his clearly defined payments structure. Darren also has some fabulous ideas and his experience gave us confidence in everything we wanted to achieve. If we ever had any concerns Darren was there always on hand to reassure us. Since moving back in we have received such wonderful comments about the 5 Star finish and workmanship of our new home. We are absolutely delighted. Thank you FORTY BUILDERS- we will miss you !

When we first met up with Darren to discuss a quite lengthy refurbishment and extension to a bungalow which needed much TLC we immediately felt reassured by his professionalism . This was endorsed throughout the whole project along with his ability to approach everything in a positive and friendly manner and resolve any issues that arose quickly and without fuss. Whilst in the process of the work Darren has some quite significant health issues which he dealt with in the same manner in which he approaches everything … we would never have known unless he had made us privy to the information which we appreciated We cannot recommend him highly enough and really have enjoyed what could have been a stressful experience and which has been finished to an extremely high standard along with what we know will be a continued friendship as he continues to check in in order to ensure all is to our satisfaction and also to his. From the very first meeting with Darren we were confident he was the builder for us, he was polite, professional and clearly demonstrated his ability to deliver our project The architects design involved a number of complex angles within the structure which other builders had shown reluctance in undertaking due to its complexity. Darren provided a free competitive quote, time frames & payment structure, which enabled us to budget our project. We were prepared to wait until he was able to commit to the build & we have not been disappointed. Darren and his team have built us a beautiful extension which includes a kitchen diner, utility room & downstairs cloakroom & patio area. We asked for extras including the demolishing of an internal wall which added time to the project & we thank Darren for his flexible approach to the request. The team were punctual, hard working, trustworthy, polite and a joy to have in our home, as we were living in it whilst the work was undertaken. Darren was always available for advice and suggestions & if there were any problems they were quickly and professionally addressed. We would not consider anyone to undertake work for us. JC & MC

We cannot speak highly enough of Darren and his team at Forty Builders. Our project was the demolition of substantially the whole of a dilapidated bungalow in Rhiwbina and its rebuild as a dormer bungalow with two upstairs bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms and walk in wardrobes. Work downstairs included the construction of a large kitchen/dining and living room which stretches across the whole width of the property. We chose Darren after he was recommended by our architect and receiving positive feedback in respect of previous projects of Forty Builders. Darren’s quote for the work was competitive and detailed. The cost of the project never changed apart from additional works asked for by us. Darren listened to and accepted any such changes with patience and good humour and his advice was invaluable. Darren, his team and his sub contractors were all friendly and courteous. He and his team were also excellent in ensuring good relationships with neighbours by keeping mess and disturbance to a minimum and liaising with them when required. In addition there wasn’t a single working day with no-one on site to maintain the progress of the build. We liked that Darren was flexible and worked with our architect to achieve our vision for the property. We are delighted with the appearance and the build quality of our new home and we thoroughly recommend Darren and his team.
