Don’t go anywhere else! We were recommended Andy and Gillespie Developments and would absolutely recommend to others for any job. Andy was competitively priced, absolutely honest and clear with us throughout and even brought the price in slightly under budget in the end. Andy’s lads worked on our entire house for nearly 6 months, doing a top to model remodel, new layout, flooring, new doors, new windows and a partial new roof. Throughout they were excellent quality, clean and courteous - it was never a bother having them in the house. Andy was always open to thoughts and accommodated changes as well as he could, he was even good enough to be honest and challenge us when he didn’t think something was right or looked right - just what we wanted. Despite a few snags and issues on the way (often caused by us & not actually Andy’s fault) he was ever helpful and made sure everything was just right - even coming back himself over weekends to put things right. Basically: brilliant. You won’t find better so don’t try.

We contacted Andrew after a professional recommendation in June 2019 - our decorator said that he always looked forward to working on a property after Andrew and his team, as the prep is minimal and the job always up to a very high quality. Our project was to turn an Edwardian B&B property into a home for our family, so we were looking at extensive renovation. A brief list of the work carried out is below, however much more was done. - Remove chimney stack over 3 stories / removal of fireplaces keeping them intact for future sale and reuse - Structural integrity of the property including installation of steel beams, foundation stands etc - Remove internal fire doors and walls - Remove old en-suites - fixtures, fittings - Replace all heating systems, pipes and electrics throughout the property - Installation of underfloor heating including perfect laying of floor and wall tiles in kitchen and bathroom - Extensive plastering throughout the whole 3 storey property - Custom joinery and kitchen installation - Installation of new windows, exterior steel door and internal fire rated steel door Andrew worked closely with our architect to ensure the work was all scoped out and costed from the start so there were no surprises. We knew we had an old property and any additions were to be expected, but Andrew managed expectations well, provided solid advice and recommendations along the way and a few things were even removed from the scope when deemed unnecessary as worked progressed. All of Andrew's team were courteous and respectful of our home and our neighbours, this is one of the things that really stood out for us and makes huge difference to any home renovations. Andrew was responsive, would come onsite as needed to help solve any blockers or to explain the next steps and timeline. Even though the work was held up by the COVID lockdown, when it was possible work resumed and the team got through the rest of the tasks. All of the work is up to a very high standard, the quality of the tradesmen can't be faulted and we have and will continue to gladly recommend Andrew and team to all of our family and friends.

Andy and his team recently did some building work for us in preparation for bifold doors (plumbing, brickwork, RSJ). They came when they said they would, worked hard, cleaned up, straightened our previously wonky brickwork and boarded the house up securely at the end of the day. The rest of the house stayed clean and dust-free thanks to a temporary wall they put up around where they were working. They also finished off (plastering, skirtings, flooring) after the door was installed. Completely happy with all their work - many thanks (review - Oct 2019)

I have been delight with the work done by this company. From looking at the first plans until completion they have been helpful, professional and hard working. They were able to make suggestions to improve the work. They were able to seal off the house to enable us to continue our normal life and were always polite and make a point of leaving everything clean and tidy. The work was fairly complicated but they had no problems and questions were answered quickly. We are delighted with the very high standard of the finished work and were very pleased with the craftsmanship. I would highly recommend this firm to all my friends for big or small jobs.
