QualityBuild Hackney House Extensions

We had been thinking about extending the back of the house for over a year before we actually started getting quotes. QualityBuild was the second firm we met with and the conversation went differently from the first one, they asked about how we use the space day to day rather than just measuring up and leaving. The design stage took about a month with a few revisions, mostly because we kept changing our minds about the kitchen island. Planning went through without issues, which they handled including the neighbour consultation bits. Build started about six weeks after planning approval came through. Through the build I had a weekly catch up with the site manager which kept everything moving. There were a couple of small decisions that came up mid-build, like where to put sockets in the new wall, and these got resolved on the spot. Whole project from first meeting to handover was about nine months.
