4.1 / 5 · 15 totalBriar homes have no respect or regard for protected European species, bats, birds, ancient trees, hedgerows or listed buildings with regards to their conduct in Barrhead right now, or knowing the law. They have been reported to police due to their conduct and have either already carried out or highly likely to cary out wildlife crimes. They also commissioned inadequate ecology report for a nature sensitive area within a country park, which failled to highlight any of the wildlife present and therefore biased. I dont know about their homes, but any company that conducts themselves in this way, steer clear and buy from a respected hosue builder that cares for nature and the laws to protect them.
6 months in our new home and we love it. Our site manager, Paul Clark has been fantastic. A friendly face around the site and a great source of help and advice as we settle in. Nothing too much trouble and he’s very generous with his time!
The homes are lovely! We moved into one in December and only have good things to say about the whole experience. we had been looking at new builds and they all seemed to be small, however the rooms in these homes feel massive! The third bedroom could easily fit a double bed and furniture which felt like a rare find when we were searching! The entire team have been brilliant across the whole journey, they kept us updated before the move and answered our many many questions and have been on hand to help since we moved in! The house had a couple of snags that the team sorted out no problem and it seems like no issues is too small for them to help with! Special mention to the site manager, John, who has been amazing since before we even moved in, answering lots of (sometimes daft!) questions and helping us with how to fix things we aren't used to! He really knows his stuff and always seems happy to help out! Would very highly recommend Briar if you're looking for a new home!
Small rooms
From my experience they are not to be trusted, there is no communication between them. Signed an early bird agreement for a house in Eden Grove with the promise that I would get two free upgrades. When the time came to sign the agreement after the property got released the sales manager did not acknowledge the promise, as the sales person I got the agreement with, was on leave and the agreement was not documented, even if the sales person (from Savills) got the approval from Briars Homes. So if you want to have any agreement with them you better ask them to document it, sign it in front of you, and give you a copy so that you can receive what you are promised. From that interaction I wouldn't trust them to build my house and in case of any faults fix it. Also their aggressive sales and management attitude when I was about to sign the final agreement did not help. Please be careful with them.
Stunning homes!
